Mig-17 for Fs9?

I know Ito did one (no VC) and Bear Studios has a payware 17 (no money). Is there a freeware Mig-17 out there somewhere with a VC or am I just out of luck? I looked and the only two I found reference to are Ito's and Bear Studio's.

I think your out of luck, if your after a VC model, would really like one myself. just for the record, the ito model is pretty sweet, once you've tweak'd the fde.
There is a freeware Alphasim Mig17 for CFS2, had that a long time ago when it came with the Just Flight Vietnam air war add-on, but hav'nt a clue if it works in FS9.

Not so sure about a MiG-17, but I know of an excellent MiG-19 by Yao Tan. I believe it has a VC, but the one thing that I remember most about this plane was that the visual model was stunning. Literally eye-candy in FS9, without any significant frame rate hit.

Sadly, the Yan Tao mig 19 has'nt got a vc, but your right about the stunning visual model, its probably the only non vc aircraft in my hanger, but still one of my favorites.

Sadly, the Mig-17 and Mig-19 are two gaps in my early Russian/Warsaw pact jet fighters that I can't get filled. I really like the 17 and would love to have a VC version in my hangar. Mayhaps, if I win the lottery I can begin buying some payware and the Bear Studios 17 will join my collection.

Cold War Collection!

Like you OBIO..have most of the cold war types..Ito's Mig-17 and Yan Tao's Mig-19 while it may be a tad long-in-tooth, really is eye-watering from ourside the 'pit'.and it even carried over to FSX without any real problems. The one type that hasn't shown up yet and is still my number-one Warsaw Pact wish list is the Yak-28 Brewer-Firebar
Series. Can't have everything I guess!...unless....you happen to know of one?
