Ferry,nice screen shots
Its funny how you fly something for almost 2 months and NOT really look at it. I had been concentrating on the air file performance. I only really started looking at the #8 finish right at the very end , Keith did a marvellous job with it. I prefer the pre-War version (#8) to the post war bubble canopy.
BTW if you or anyone else is interested - We are considering a multiplayer
Kings Cup Air Race circa 1955(ish) over at CBF. Between Keith's Speed Six and Proctor, Ted Cooks Comper Swift, Frank Elton's Hornet Moth, and Leopard Moth, Rick Pipers Chipmunk, Dave Molyneaux's Miles series (Gemini, Messenger , Monarch, Whitney Straight) and Auster...It could be an interesting day out (and If Peter Larkin releases his Q6 soon I have dibs flying it in the race!!
).
Oh Yes Keith says he is working on a Standard SparrowHawk derived from this model!!!

Thanks guys,
for the planes and the HU, running off to get them now, Along with Blackburn, Miles Bros. is probably my fave Brit plane builder. Although saying that, it's almost impossible to narrow it down, heck what about A.V.Roe, De Havilland, Hawker and Vickers (inc. Supermarine). But when you tire of the glamour boys, you can't beat a Miles!!

Percival Q6 is as he says 99.9% finished. And If I could persuade Frank Elton to upgrade his FS98 MewGull to Fs9 I would be a happy camper.
By the way - Pete Watkins knocked this off today on Ted Cooks Comper Swift -
It needs shoes
ANd YES we know the original G-ABUS wasnt numbered 56 - Pete did it for me -- Its my age!:faint:

Thanks again Mew Gull leads -- Now we seriosuly can think about having
an online Kings Cup!!.
And one more question -- Does anyone know if there is a 2004 upgrade for the Fleet 80? Its a lovely little model and I have sentimental attachments
to it....but in 2004 it loses its prop

I knew there was another one around..
Oldliner's model is the E.3H Mew Gull (The 'Super Mew'), while Lee Hall's model is Alex Henshaw's E.2H model. The last one still has a great model, but unfortunately no working gauges in the VC. Oldliner's model lacks a 2D panel. Both are a challenge to fly!

Regarding the Mew Gulls -I believe they both use the same air file. If you read the read me in Lee Halls model I believe he talks about removing fuel from one of the tanks to make it handle better -which it does. I find the ground handling on Lee's model also lacks something! - would be nice to see an updated version with V.C..
