This is my all time favorite aircraft... fly her all the time! Thanks to Falcon (VC Cockpit) and Adam Murphy (R2800 sound) for their outstanding work!

Thanks to Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas and João Paz for the Howard 500 Project.

Started work on the Howard today, so is very rough. Few basic lines and some metal work on major parts. -TF

Some weathering on the fuse...

That looks great!

With Team SOH's Harpoon on the horizon that made me thionk of the Howard and I did pull her out of the hangar. Looking forward to this fresh look!

Very nice TF. I like the possibilities. Looking forward to whatever you come up with.:salute:

Very clean and refined... and nice looking! I have had the Howard in my active livery and have been flying her for quite the number of years. It'll be interesting to see what kind of paint schemes you give her.

Sometimes we forget how large these aircraft are (check the size of those spinners and props compared to the guys heads), and how beautiful classics look together. :wavey:

UPDATE:

Laying some basic panel lines and rivets for alignment checks on the fuselage. Also, making sure the metal skin blends on all sides of the fuselage. Once, I have all the lines and rivets done, then I will shade those to a more realistic look. All in all, I hoping this will turn out well. So, a few more pics, mostly working on the fuselage. -TuFun

That's absolutely stunning :applause: :applause:

Great work Ted.

I certainly hope it's going to be a polished metal finish :jump:

Pete.

Very nice indeed :applause:
There are few things I enjoy more than larruping around VLC NZ in the Howard at five miles a minute!

A little practice when the Milton's Ventura arrives... a very quick wip paint job (not complete). Just wanted to see some color on the H-500! ;)

UPDATE:

Rivets a plenty... at least the vertical ones! Best guess I can make from a few photos.

Trying to bring out some detail by altering the photos. Do you see a pattern? Looking at the windows, you can get a good guess of a rivet pattern.

Here's the pattern so far, may not be accurate, but it's the best I can do from pics. Also, the rivets and lines are dark for alignment purposes only.

Saddle up... where going up, says the Colonel (Test Pilot)!

Just checked the demo video
Nice .. only the touchdown effects seems weird .. (it's like the tires are burning .. a lot of smoke or dust ? ..lol)
It's the default effects from FSX ?

Looking at the file it calls for is dated 2006, so I believe its default effects. Way to much smoke for an aircraft that size. That certainly needs to be change, will look in to a proper effect.

UPDATE: Testing tire smoke...

UPDATE:

I spend so much time flying than painting, well I need to check how it looks in the sim!;)

Also, spending a lot time looking for source material.

Hey that looks fantastic , great work Ted :applause:

I like the bare metal finish.

Ya wanna keep your firearms stowed safely , cause it looks like it went off and punched a hole through the fuse :icon_lol:

Looking forward to it's release.

Pete.
