Milviz F-100D is out

Cheers Kat. I forget this at Milviz. As I can see in some, I presume I can see into all! No problem though as I've just received the SP1 email;)

dvj,

First off great pic. Also who's Edwards is that? That is not the stock one that comes with FSXA, cause that one does not
have the newer runway. I have modded the stock one to have that runway but never did get around to adding new
photo-real textures for it.

Hi Joe,

The "new" Edwards comes with the ORBX FTX So. Cal scenery offering.

It's quite nice. Needs more classic static aircraft IMO. I'll have to figure out how to do that.

Head over the the MilViz F100D Support forum.

Hi
Kat e-mailed me, downloaded and installed. "For complete information regarding the update, please visit the F-100D support fórum". Would like to do so but unable to find where in Milviz.com. Logged in.
Will you be so kind and provide a direct link?
Thanks

E mail them at roadburner440 at milviz.com and ask to be added.
The support forums are restricted to customers so they don't like direct links.

The install routine chucks up a txt file listing the content of SP1. If you missed it, go to your F100D folder and look for the file Change Log.txt;)

Still have a long way to go in reworking the paint kit to get it the way I want, but I think I've about got the scorched painted metal on the diffuse texture the way I want it. Now for new camo pattern with soft demarcs, new diffuse alphas, speculars, and spec alphas, among other things.

Stay tuned for more WIP later... Lots of green and brown Huns out there somewhere!

Duckie, having now secured my copy of the HUN, I came back to this thread to specifically look to see how your progress is going?! Look forward to having some Steve Bryant paint on my bird! Especially a 116th TFW GA ANG bird. I was appreciative of the former Tbird ONE F-100 in GAANG colors that came in the default package. I had no idea that the Georgia Air Guard had a former thunderbird! Interesting that the USN steals FA-18's from reserve units for the Blue Angels!

Hey Eric,

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate you checking on the progress. Unfortunately, it's been delayed a few days while I wait for some new SDRAM for my PC. I'm also out of town until Wednesday. However, I managed to get the wings done before I left town. So, once I get the memory installed (it's waiting for me when I get home) it should only be a few more days before the first hits the library. And, I will do another Ga ANG bird, as well as one or two more "SEA" VN versions. GAANG had the Huns when I was at Dobbins.

I should keep stopping putting more small details..... this way she'll never be finished! Anyway 99.9% done

Hank

Very nice work Hank, looking forward to it. This Bird deserves your level of detail absolutly (Imho)

The paint burn detail around the engine is shaping up very nicely Hank. Nice! Looking forward to grabbing this one when you're done. :encouragement:

Col Don "Hun" Hubbard, who was CO of the 116th when they had the Huns, was our neighbor across the street. I always loved the F-100 as a result. When I was a senior in HS (1979), I did an internship for a week with the GA ANG, because I was going to college on a AFROTC scholarship. At the time, they had converted to the F-105G, but still had the F-100 simulator there. I got to "fly" that thing a LOT. :)

Im out of town all week as well, so will look for your work in due course! Always worth waiting for!

Some artistic license has been taken since not everything will fit proportionally since the airframes are not identical. Certain markings for aesthetic purposes have been either omitted or are in slightly yet still realistic locations.

Very nice, but FW-948 text too transparent

You sure that's not a photo of the real plane?

Dang it there's some good work there...;)
