Dave, Was this paint ever released?

Yup.. keep it simple:encouragement:

Wondering where to fly to today, I remembered I had SDB's Upper Heyford installed so headed there. No glamorous 'in flight' shots.. the Super Sabre is pretty wherever she is. Sat for a while trying all the menu options while the airfield got on with it's daily business..

This old lady pushes me closer to getting Tacpack!!

I didnt think you liked flying around with war loads and generally flew around with empty pylons? :)

True, that. However, since MV chose not include the correct period Snake Eye fins and didn't depict the aluminum skins or the correct period nose piece for the NP canisters I thought I'd include them, or at least my interpretation of, these textures. Please note this is not a complaint since it's already been asked and answered in another post, and, as pointed out here, I normally do not fly with munitions anyway. This is for those non-TAC-Packers who do.

Use em or don't. Your choice. They will be included with Millies Moose.

Millies Moose is uploaded and includes optional textures for the Napalm tanks and Snake Eye Bombs.

Nice Duckie !

One slight issue, the double yellow band.... only used by the USNavy after the 1967 USS Forrestal fire. The first band indicate HE (High Explosive TNT) The second yellow band indicated the bomb had a special ablative coating.
The USAF on the other hand used and are still using the single band.

The originals of VRS are based on their F/A-18E Hornet product...... therefor navy ordenance

(You had already posted while I was sending you a pm with the above info.... )
.
Cheers,
Hank

Thanks for the feedback Hank. I should have caught that but I tend to be on "Otto Pilot" sometimes! I was trying to get the colors to match and actually didn't even "see" the the coating or second yellow stripe! Easy enough to fix. Will post it later today.

Snake Eye and Napalm weapons texture update.

These textures update the optional textures included with the repaint of the Milviz F100D for Millies Moose. Anyone with the Milviz F-100D installed can use them but they are produced for those who do not use Tac-Pac as they do not match the textures for these 2 items.

These textures are my attempt to more closely represent the period munitions colors, markings and finishes of that time. I am told, and according to Kat from Milviz, the stock versions of these weapons are textures to more closely match the Tac-Pac versions which are depicted as modern U.S. Navy versions.

If you have already downloaded Millies Moose here is the updated version. If you have not already download Millies Moose you don't need these as the Moose has been updated in the library.

Thanks for your interest.

This is true regarding the navy vs USAF yellow bands on bombs. This is a VRS thing. However, dropping these two skins in your \texture directory for the Hun, or any other Tac Pack enabled airplane, will correct the problem.

Thanks joe bob and Hank. Glad you like it.

Hey Eric, got any photos of a specific GA ANG Hun you're interested in? Got the appropriate engines panels set and now need some yellow paint applied!
