Milviz F-86F-30 Sabre - Released

Thank you!!! As I said....if this is "fixed" it will be at the top of my flying list.....I love this plane guys!!!

EXCELLENT!!

I know this is like talking Pepsi to a Coke guy, but SectionF8 had a neat head duck animation as the canopy slid fore and aft.

BTW, I'm noticing all sorts of little gems with this model, like how the lower arm on the extending speed brake moves that little panel up out of the way. Nobody else has ever gotten that right.

which is exactly what we will be doing.

As for the rest... well... it is what it is.

darker smoke... no... I don't think so. I think we nailed it given what I've seen...

LOL... well... MV's carbon footprint is already so large...

Besides, you could ask someone to darken it for you if it really bothers you...

we KNOW he is sitting too far back. The reason we did this is so that his head wouldn't go through the canopy strut as it opened... However, this will be fixed in the SP that we now plan on releasing for this (major?) and some other bugs...

We will now have him lean forward so that his head is where it should be and he will lean even MORE forward so as to avoid getting whanged by that canopy...

Coming soon...

Female pilot? Can't we have a female Pilot? :isadizzy:

Strangely enough, Hawk One's main mech is a woman and she is really quite interesting. I talked to her for about an hour and man... she would put a Nascar mech to shame. She knew EVERYTHING about that jet.

I'm saying a nice BUSTY female pilot is a very needed item in some plane...LOL!!!

I also want to make something very clear here. My comments about the pilot and smoke are MINOR issues....kinda rivet counting....but....I want it know that this is an AWESOME jet! I love it and have flown it every day since purchase. Once I find my materials....I will be doing a couple paints also.

Looks like David Janssen...

....on the left! Seriously, I think of the RCAF most when thinking of the Sabre-- I have owned R.J. "Chick" Childerhose's "F-86 Sabre" book since 1975....this is a wonderful compendium of vignettes revolving around mostly flying RCAF sabres in the 1955-57 time frame...Great book.

You mean the 'Famous Aircraft Series' book, or the larger, full version called "Wild Blue" from 1978? Now you're speaking my language ;) GREAT book. His first book was a fictional account of Sabre flying in Europe called "Splash one Tiger", another great read, especially the flying parts. Both are out of print but you can still find copies for sale on Albiris and other used book sites.

If you are talking about "Wild Blue", remember Chick's buddy Crocodile? He was with 413 squadron (Chick flew with 434), same base, before they both got 'banished' to the Overseas Ferry Unit.

Would have looked something like this:

Sabre Mk.5 of No. 413 "Tusker" Squadron, 3 Wing, RCAF Station Zweibrücken, West Germany, circa 1955.

Oh now you did it. Milviz has another Sabre customer. Excellent paint
:salute: and as a inactive RW RCAF 440Sq member thank you. 440Sq nearly had Sabre's but where given CF100 Canuks. The Canuk was our last fighter before being re-designated.

I second Diego's comment: Wow....! :applause::applause::applause:
