More ATC voice stuff

Now I'm on the trail of why it is that ATC is so rude as to start talking well before I have finished my sentence.
Happens every time I make a request for this or that.

Anyone had this experience and solved it?

Not sure if you have applied EditVoicePack acceleration at some point. But that plus a large number of AI can make it a bit congested.
Since there are only so many individual voices you might have the same one for the ATC and an AI crew making it yet a bit more difficult to tell who is who.
I would try a flight with AI traffic reduced or off and see if it still happens.

On the other hand flying in real life SoCal on a busy Saturday can sound just like that, especially in a sector where lots of training happens such as the approach corridor for KCNO, the local favorite for ILS approaches.

Cheers
Stefan

I went into dxdiag for directx and moved the acceleration for the sound to the extreme right.
I had moved the acceleration slider to none after reading a suggestion for no voice problem, and had left it there even though it made no difference.
Now have traffic at 20% commercial and private.

Maybe it's those settings, or maybe it's just a different day, but ATC is now being polite enough to allow me to finish my sentences.

Not exactly hard evidence, but it's working as I would expect now.

Anyhow, problem solved or it just went away on its own...

Thanks for the suggestions, Sunny.

Never played with the acceleration options in DirectX, so I can't comment on the effects.
I was thinking of the acceleration of overall speech pattern in FS that one can achieve by running that option in EditVoicePack.
For me that is a must have and one of the things that have kept me out of FSX, because as I had mentioned I fly in real world SoCal and ATC there is not known for its slow speed :)
Though compared to NYC ATC I must say SoCal is still quite relaxed on most days and in my experience always very easy to work with if you are proficient and know when to talk and as important when to shut up.

Glad you have it sorted.

Cheers
Stefan

Stefan: I went out and got Editvoicepack and accelerated the voices.

Works like a charm, and seems more like what I have heard in my limited experience riding in aircraft cockpits.

Thanks for that bit of info.
