More Meteors from Rob Richardson!

The Danish NF.11 is coming along. A lot of work has gone into getting the camouflage pattern as accurate as possible. Thanks to the picture collection Søren mentioned it was possible to get very good reference pictures.
Just like Peter I have made all new panel lines/rivets and stencils. Rob has done a superb job on the model and I think the extra work on the textures really makes the NF.11 come to life.

Taking of from Aalborg for an evening sortie:

Zsoltquack where did you get the RN repaint for the T7?

Quick repaint I knocked up of F3 EE337, one of two that were given Sea Hornet tailhooks to trial Meteor carrier ops. If anyone's interested I'll zip it up and post it. Now to add a tailhook...

I'd be all over that like a bad rash. If it's RN FAA with a tail hook, I'm in. Thanks if you do, Skip.

Too off the beaten path for Rob to add in his Sea Hornet's hook? Can we hope ... maybe not ... I better run before someone throws something at me.

This should do it, I haven't added a tailhook section to the aircraft.cfg yet but it shouldn't be overly complicated. I've just been doing bolters to get the feel for the approach so far. I don't know if they had the necessary hard points to use the catapult, if it's not possible to get off the deck safely I'd assume they did!

Not too far off track for me, was thinking about turning one out.

Jens, these last shots with the bumpmapped rivet lines are trully a work of art.
As you said, the base model was already quite good. But this repaint takes it to a whole new level :applause:

Thank you! I'm no expert, but trying my best! I did the same for the NF.14 for some years back. I'll try and release the 14 together wit the Danish one soon.
As should be easily noticeable, I have also used more contrasting colours for the camouflage scheme as I feel the colours as seen on the original textures are to light. At least from my real world encounters with British aircraft painted in the same colours so is the dark green quite "dark" or contrasting with the grey's. Specially for any NF paint depicting the aircraft from their quite short service career as front line night fighters which only spanned a few years, weathering and fading should be quite light.
