MSFS 2024 on Steam Sale

I've never loaded up 2020 since I moved to 2024. It has its problems, still; but its advantages outweigh them (IMO). Your biggest hurdle will likely be setting up your controls and key bindings. It's not the best, most intuitive thing; but once you've done it (and backed them up), it will be worth it. (y)

I can't compare MSFS2020, but I did jump on the sale and don't regret getting MSFS2024. I'm impressed so far!
Haven't dabble much, I just set to highend settings and went sightseeing. I don't have a super computer just a i5 9600K, 32GB,
3060 16GB vcard and a few SSDs. Runs smooth, and so impress with moving around in the cockpit. Props have no jitters like I've seen
in some YT videos.

I've all but abandoned FS20 now, and am thoroughly enjoying MSFS2024, particularly since multi-threading was sorted in the last update - performance is perfect for me. If you are tempted, the Steam edition is the way to go, IMO. Over the last few years, we Steam users seem to have had far fewer glitches and instability issues than the MS Store version owners. I agree with Brian - setting up the controls can be baffling at first, but once you realise you have to create duplicates of the locked default profiles in order to assign controls, it all falls into place.
