Mu-2

Just took it up for the inaugural test flight, man is this baby sweet! PAD, you outdid yourselves with this one, my new favorite.

downloaded there newest MU-2 and have no lights in the VC. There 1st one has them and the light section looks the same as that one, any ideas??

This VC lighting prob is on our list, along with a few other things that have come to light ( or, in this instance, not to light). Every new release of a complex model has a few glitches ..... The Marquise is due to be released to the major download sites in 7-10 days, in the meantime any reported probs will be looked at.

In the lights section the 1st number in the vc section is 3.00, I changed that to 5.00 now have lights in the vc.

Simply put:
2 24V Batteries
2 30V Starter Generators 200 Amps each (DC) Regulated to 28.5V each
2 Main Buses tied via circuit breaker
Each Main Bus feeds an inverter that makes 115VAC 400HZ and 26VAC (I know what you're thinking--"Is there one common 115VAC bus and one common 26VAC bus, or are there 2 L & R buses for 115VAC and 26VAC?) It depends upon the a/c serial#, and it's rather random.
Landing Gear Motor: 50 Amps
Main Landing Gear Door Actuator: 25 Amps
Flap Motor: 20 Amps
2 Boost Pumps: 10 Amps
2 Fuel Shut-Off-Valves: 5 Amps
2 Transfer Pumps: 5 Amps
2 Rotating Beacons via (1) 7.5 Amp circuit breaker
3 Navigation Lights via (1) 5 Amp cb
3 Strobe Lights via (1) 15 Amp cb
2 Landing & Taxi Lights: 5 Amps each for the ext./ret. motors, 10 amps each for the bulbs.
Some planes have tip-tank taxi lights 15 Amps each

There are no less than 145 circuit breakers scattered throughout the cockpit.

If you want more, I'll get it.

how come there is a new download posted at avsim?..its the same file name as before...has it been updated? but not changed the filename?....

Correct. The Marquise model previously posted on PAD has been updated with improved FD, and some minor visual changes, and posted on the major FS dowload sites with the same file name.

Awesome news P! Mike :applause:

I am going to use the Garrett Engine sounds from the freeware FS9 Veneaviones Turbo Commander available at www.avsim.com

File name is : veneaviones_rockwell_turbo_commander_690b.zip

:wavey:

Thanks for the idea of using the AC690 sounds with the MU2 - what an awesome combination! I realize that I'm still new 'round here, and I don't mean to sound presumptuous, but would any of you painters consider creating a Canadian registration for the Marquise?

Mongo

According to the Canadian Register, there are six MU-2B-60 (this seems to be the Marquise) current:

C-FFSS, C-FHMA, C-FRWK, C-GAMC, C-GGDC, C-GZNS

A quick search on in Google finds photos of some of them at Airliners.Net so away you go and decide which one you want bobmay to do :costumes: . And the example photo of an MU-2 at Wikipedia is C-GZNS.

PAD went the extra distance and modified the model to accommodate the -J version for the NZ repaint.
Wow...
Many thanks Bob for hooking into this, congratulations to all at PAD, a great fleet. :applause:

:applause: Keep 'em coming. Nice array of models, now we need some of the very good GA artistes around here do do some more paints . .

Thanks PAD for the great work.
