Is there an Sleepytime Gal and Dody repaint for FS9 too ?

Hey T-Bolt! I've been tinkering with a Sleepy Time Gal - But there's no such thing as too much of a good thing!

Man, those new paints really look great. I've got Sleepytime Gal in the paintshop but still have a good bit to go to get it where I want it.

Here's a progress shot sans alphas.

Cool. Your timing is perfect. I've been trying to get WBS to release their FSX textures for Sleepytime Gal and Dody so I can convert them to FS9, but it looks like they have other priorities. Glad to see you're working on one.

That sure would make a nice (free) upgrade package for the holders of the FS9 versions! I would just chalk up my attempt to practice and experience. No way I could match John's beauty and I'd love to have it!

Have not been following this thread, however, I really like these Mustangs. I didn't get the original packages because of cost and time. However, I'm starting to think about these.

Big Question. What is the difference between the two packages, V1 vrs V2, and are they totally different aircraft? Or just updated models and paints??? Will I have to buy both packages to get all, or does V2 replace V1??? I notice both packages are on the website for sale, at nearly the same price, but NO info on whether or not they are different.

Got my V2 last night and only had one flight. I've been flying V1 since it first was released.

The obvious differences between the two packages are the models and available paints. The flight dynamics seemed improved with V2 over V1 - I noticed that on rollout and takeoff as the handling was always a challenge with the V1. Framerates and views are smooth as silk on both for my old machine. I did not notice any difference in sound packages or VC improvements, but then I wasn't listening or looking very hard. Gotta do some more flying tonight.

One other consideration is that because V1 came out first there are a lot of addon textures available. I've been converting the FSX textures. It will take awhile before the V2 repaints are available.

What I like about the V2 package is that the models represent the unique dorsal fin versions of the earlier Mustangs. I did a little research last night with my library and "by golly" they did exist.
