Zsolt you ought to wait for the SimWorks Studios F-4B to do a USAF F-4C. Would have the proper appearance! your skins on the E/J from milviz are amazing though

Yeah F-4C
Unfortunately you can not know anything about the B version
Although, the great silence of the "test" team also...LOL

Hi,

The J/S model (with the S VC) will be a completely different product. It will include the following:

1) a J model external with the leading edge flaps, BLC and a corrected FDE for these.

2) a S model external AND VC with leading edge slats, no BLC and a corrected FDE for these.

We are hoping to do a carrier as well but that is not yet certain. It is under consideration. We will, of course, make both of these carrier compatible and we MAY implement autoland. Again, this is uncertain.

Thank you.

Kat.

This is the one I'm waiting for......

Cool updates.

As with the current E/J, will the slime/formation lights be toggle-able on/off? I think it was brilliant (no pun intended) that those lights were in your first release - really hoping they are again.

The reason being, as in the strictest sense, the S model was far less prevalent in service than the J (introduced/converted in the 80s), my prediction is that much of the repaint focus will be around the myriad late 60s-through-to-70s J schemes - not just the actual S scheme. As such, those would not have had the slime lights. The real S schemes, between the limited number of operational and reserve squadrons in the USN and USMC, are no where near as numerous. Not to say the S schemes won't be popular, but just looking at it from an "80/20" point of view ... there's way fewer of them.

I'm sure most would happily accept that tradeoff, given how many have bought into the E/"J" proposition solely/largely for the naval model. Surely an S cockpit / S model / S flight model would now be a better standin than an E cockpit/ J model / E flight model, I should think, from an accuracy point of view. The coming aboard a carrier alone will now be a much more tenable simulation.

All this to say the S will be highly anticipated, and if the slime lights are not hard-baked in, will give a much larger breadth of "canvas" for repainters to work on. In other words, higher likelihood of unit sales.

cheers,

dl

Hi,

The slime lights are still toggled on and off though we have actually made two mdl's (J and S).

It's important to note that we are only doing the S vc though the two fly differently.

We're very close to release on this one.

Thank you.

Kat.

Good to know - thanks for clarifying. Yes, the S VC only was understood, though I didn't know there was going to be an additional "J" model - as in not just the E with the round nose, but a true J external model. That's very clever, as it'll likely be the one that gets the bulk of the repaints.

I'm looking forward to the TPS schemed late period USMC S, though, don't worry!
