  • Special Server Maintenance

Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

The GR4, and all the ground-focused variants look superb. This will definitely be worth waiting for.

cheers - and many thanks for the hard work on this.

the GR4 was released 2 weeks ago, and had around 500 downloads so far. A few issues have been raised which we are now working through, so the download has been removed for now

I think, maybe the Gr4 was not given enough publicity when it was released and a lot of people (and potential contributors) have missed it. It really is a superb piece of work, well done and thank you.

indeed, I wanted just the normal UKMIL community to have a look first, and as expected, we have a few issues to fix

once fixed, it will be re-released, then publicised

You don't allow hotmail addresses for registering... oh well..
Used a "good e-mail address" and now I cannot get the repaint kit. Oh "double well"...

we had to stop spammers and hackers, who use FREE web addresses to get access to our site. You cannot complain for us trying to protect ourselves. We were hacked 3 times in 3 months before I banned free emails

99% of people are given email accounts with their internet provider, for the 1% we cannot take chances.

However, I can make manual accounts, using hotmail addresses, if I know they come from a good source, so simply PM me your details., and I will create you an account

As said above, I have registered successfully with my ISP e-mail but, in addition, I need to become a Club Member to get access to the repaint kit. I'll see what I will do. I've never paid £9.99 to be able to access a repaint kit for a freeware aircraft before.

Thanks for the help
