There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

...Simply though, all the cfs2 planes I've flown had magnetic compases, not gyro....
Uhhh...CFS2 Hellcat, Corsair, Wildcat and Lightning all have both mag-comps and gyro-comps.
Hey D1, ...

EDIT: Why, ...BC's "B", ...of course...

I have a list that includes MR Philippines, Solomons, DEI, Formosa, PNG, Micronesia as well as stock fields and my own.
It's on a text file that I've pasted onto each aircraft's Notes kneeboard and includes an aphabetical list of airfields, ADF Freqs, field coordinates, elevation and runway heading(s). All I do is set autopilot and hit C twice. The Notes page opens and I scroll down to the airfield I want and read off the data, close the window, disengage the AP and drive on. Want it?
......and been workin' on a nav panel using BC's ADF gaugesw/o that damn GPS.
A DME in '43 would have been "star wars" technology.
The ADF is the closest thing to the "dit-daa" radio navigation that they did have...
So bite me ..its 2009 not 1943:...besides, i like playing with gauges in my sim toys. And thank MS for CFS2 mod-ability. Got skills?...make it how you want it. :amen:
