Sarg, I looked for it, I have a radeon mobility 3650 it uses the Catalyst Control Center, I went to it opened the 3d section and there is no enable dxt box, I searched the web trying to find info on this and found zip.

Newer card perhaps ,, mine is about 6 years old now ,, 9,000 Ati 64 kb ,,, but I,m sure that is the problem ,,, One of my bac up comp still has a Voodo II card that messes up alot of panels ,, looses gauges and blocks out others ,, Renders large plane textures in white ,, and treats DXT as a black square ,,, good luck !!
HOTFIX?
Emil; look at the post in the link that I posted. In it a fellow is complaining about something similar to your problem in a different game. It is a driver issue. He reports he used something called 'Hotfix" whatever that is and it fixed it. His card sounds the same as yours, a ATI 3650 mobility card.

yes, happens in window mode as well and tried lower monitor res. Im thinking it is the dxt setting with the card, thats about the only thing left I havent been able to try. It was fine before I didnt have any problems on this puter with the game not sure what caused this. It is a bummer but not the end of the world as I do have a complete copy on another computer that works fine, which is a relief as Ive been adding and modding and painting and renaming and customizing the over 1000 planes Ive collected in the last 10 years, it kill me me if this was the only copy. Even so Id like to get it fixed this is a scearmin puter and the game looks so good when I hook up to the flat screen.
