Netwings?

Hi all.

Before you guys upload anything to the outhouse, you need to contact Bear, and get his permission:

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=8940

That was Bear's last post to the outhouse.

I don't have his email, so you may need to go to his forum and ask permission there.

I was not going to upload anything right now,I will make a list of the planes I have and post it.Other then that I will wait and see what happens,I figure we can all look and compare to see if they are all available, then get permission to upload them here if it comes to that. Thanks for the links.

I would say uploading them is a great idea regardless the condition of NetWings. But, Bear has been adamant about his copyright and control of the files, so it wouldn't hurt to get his permission now.

I have no idea what his reply will be. I had thought he wanted no one to host them, but Netwings must have gotten permission.

It is my understanding that if you change the name of the 1% aircraft to read somthing like RHE Wildcat, just an example, that then they can be uploaded. What I really think needs to be done is to start our own group because they need to be updated real bad.:typing:

Whom do we need to ask permission to be able to upload most of the material from Netwing into Sim-Outhouse for the benefit of future members?:help:

That would be AV History Bear or Gregory
we cannot host those files here
without there permission

Henry is right. We'll need to get the okay from Greg Pierson or Bear before we can add the 1% collection to the file library.

Go ahead and get a list compiled up of what planes you guys have and we'll continue to see what can be done.

I have all the US and Jap 1% aircraft and just say so and I will help in that way if needed.

Is Netwings really gone for good? If so that's a shame and will be missed!

Sad day, I have been looking for them for about a week, finally figgered out they had gone Tango Uniform. Rats!

The thing is, Netwings wasn't just 1%. There was some other stuff there that I'm sure was unavailable elsewhere.

My CFS2 storage on an external drive is at 12 GB. Not sure what you would want or need but if I can help anyone just say the word guys...

Yep, Netwings was the only place I found Sean Anderson's Lorna...a dated model, but not bad...and she filled an empty spot in the CFS2 Japanese lineup quite nicely. I think he had a few others there as well. I know I have found a couple of his planes on Simviation, but the Lorna was a Netwing only plane as far as I can tell.

And there were lots of other aircraft there as well that I had not seen anywhere else.
