Just like to add my thanks for this superb model.
It's also an excuse to go somewhat East, and load up Loai Hamad's also-excellent Mega Scenery Zvartnots - Armenia 2008.

That plus a dose of just-as excellent Russian AI make a very happy flight simulator experience.

Just a note about US aircraft registration....

Us Tail numbers must start with an 'N' followed by one of the following....

Up to five numerical digits (Single and double digit numbers are reserved for the FAA Ex. N3 or N12) Can't start with a 0 Ex. N01234

up to four digits and one letter (no 'O' or 'I')

up to three digits and two letters

For Example:

N12345
N1234A
N123AB

N12CD
N1AP (Real registration, Arnold Palmer's Citation X)
N208JB (Jimmy Buffett's Cessna Caravan on Amphib floats)

A "legal" replacement tail number for the AN-12 would be N12AN

Just a little tip for all you repainters out there.

Brian

PS" It wouldn't be used in the "Experimental" category if you wanted to haul freight but the "Restricted" category would work

Great advice Blackbird...many thanks....here I bought you one, (you are the guy that falls down mind you)..:friday:

No worries I will be using the N12AN for the final scheme Thanks for the tip on yankee imperialist reg numbers, and experimental can also be changed to restricted, since posting the piccie i have already changed a few things, but still got alot of rivets and dirt too play with.

It's up at flightsim.com, too. Downloading now. Very nice looking model...love the view from the nose!

There are some paints being done very slowly at the mo. Free time for painting has had too take a back seat for a while but there will be some.

Hi there,

There are quite a few repaints available at www.avsim.ru. Click on Файлы, you'll find a search page. Then fill in An-12 or An-12BK in the second field from the top and enter. Then all the An-12 related downloads appear.

Cheers,
Maarten
