New B-29 Fleet

Thanks so much for the kind words, guys - and yes Pips, it's Gnoopey's model, which is just superb. I am indebted to all of you who have helped and inspired me, and added so much to "our" sim over the last ten years, I'm just happy to able to contribute. :salute:

Noooow.... Who is willing and able to work on some damage skins for these ladies? I have puttered a little, but really don't know what I'm doing in that department. I am told that this may not be possible on an FS8 model.

We also need missions, and campaigns! I still have a little .air, .cfg, and .dp file tweaking and the readme to do, but I'm getting very close. Will be uploading soon! :jump:
 
GR has been kind enough to let me play with this beautiful new bird- if I promised to take a few screenies in and around the new Guam airfields. So, here are a few.

Its tough to know what to focus on. Th entire plane is beautiful- but if you get too far away you lose the node art details.

I think these screenies include maybe three different variations. Enjoy and thank you GR!

Funny thing is, we didn't even plan it - it was pure serendipity.

I got rid of the distortion on the smaller "Thumper" mission markings - the second fuselage panel gets stretched a bit on the model, so I had to make the "baby bunnies" correspondingly smaller.
 
Yes this has turned out very nicely. I am having to restrain myself from rushing thru the last tweaks and tying up the last loose ends so that I can get Guam released just because I am exited about it. But I will not be rushed!

Its been a fun project. And don't forget that we also got floating dry docks out of Sulley, too!
