What an excellently-accurate and detailed rendition of the C-47! All of the contours and lines look just right as they should be - the exterior just looks spot-on - and everywhere you go around the exterior, you find awesome little details. While the panel lines on the RAF Dak are a bit over done for my personal taste, the USAF scheme is just superb!! Great to see a paintkit has been released as well.

Here are some early screenshots, having just tested it out shortly. Thank you Manfred Jahn for your obvious dedication to this project!

I have merged both threads to keep everything together. The C-47 looks beautiful on the images.

Now if somebody could provide a RealEngine config file for the DC-3 engines, that would be perfect :)
 
Now we need someone to enhance the VC (rather like OZx did for the default Grumman Goose) with some HD textures and it will save us a fortune!
 
For those who can't log into Flightsim.com, is there another source for us to pick this beauty up ?

I recently lost the default DC3 file ( don't ask how ..... pls ) anybody able to shoot me a replacement file ?

That means there is no right wing or #2 engine when looking out the right seat window. Correct?

That's a deal breaker for me on any FSX aircraft. The DC-3 model really needs to be done over.

Thy fit right in with the WWII planes that I have gathered.

If nobody has replied yet, just PM me and I'll make a bundle of the files. Can you receive a large ZIP file or should I split it up into multiple parts... ? :kilroy:

Thank you for this gorgeous aircraft Mr.Jahn !

Just made a quick flight and it is superb. The RAF texturing is just about ready for a set of Soviet stars. They made DC-3s under license with the name LI-2 (Lisunov).

Manfred, a lovely job many thanks, hopefully someone better able than me will take on doing a paint of this one, I flew in it in Aden hours, 2 hours after getting off a VC10.
