Hi All

I'm revisiting this ! I have enjoyed my Samsung, Curved 32" 2560 x 1440 Q7 monitor but looking to get a better resolution and as lightly larger viewing area. I would like to stay with a curved screen at around 34" size and with full 4k resolution. At the moment I can't seem to find a tv or monitor that fits the bill. Any recommendations welcomed please.
 
What’s your budget? Dell has a good deal on their AW3423DWF. It’s an OLED, which is great for content consumption and games.

…It’s also an OLED, so there is the very real risk of burn in from static images, like the windows task bar. A three year warranty is offered to protect against that…but its only 3 years covering not exactly an inexpensive item, that I expect to last well beyond 3 years…

I’m running a 10 year old 2k resolution ASUS PB258Q IPS flat panel that runs about as good as it did on day one.

The Acer Nitro XV275K P3 gets resounding reviews for the quality of the display. It frequently goes on sale at BestBuy. Could be worth it when it’s on sale for around $500 like it was last week, but stay away when it’s not on sale. It is a flat panel, which is not what you are looking for, and reviews have noted the terrible experience when trying to work with the menu settings. To me $500 is a lot of cash to drop on a monitor that will be a pain to work with.

What is your graphics card? I’m running a GTX 3070Ti that I bought just as the GPU COVID price spike was cooling down. It’s a great card for 2K resolutions, but it will struggle if I jump to 4K. I could make the devils bargain and knock the game resolutions down…but that’s the devils bargain. The last thing that I want to do is to look at getting a new GPU.

I’m in the same boat as you. Part of me really wants a new monitor. But the more I look. The more I come to the conclusion that what I have suited me fine, until something truly better comes along.
 
I just bought the LG 39" curved monitor on sale for under $900. Maybe it will go on sale again soon? It is a awesome monitor! I sold my 34" MSI curved monitor. It worked great except it has a very annoying"nag" popup, telling you to run a utility to refresh the screen to prevent burn-in. I got fed up with it. But this 39" by LG is awesome!

Earlier this year I purchased a 65" Vizio for around $600. I have it mounted on the wall. It produces a beautiful image.
