Evening all,

I've been down the old paint shed again and have two new paints coming soon for the Flying Stations RB-57A model.

1) Republic of China Air Force (Taiwan) RB-57A '5642'

These will be available this weekend, all going to plan.

Steve you are a machine! :applause:
Sadly my flightsim logbook entries have all but stopped due to external pressures, I haven't even installed the latest Canberras...
Boy it's great to have stuff stored up for a rainy day! thanks for these.

Outstanding as always, Steve!:salute:

Looking forward to unpacking:jump:, that second RB looks very much like the sole RB-57A the KANG had at Forbes when I first got there in '73. It was the only round-top and silver B-57 in a stable full of Gs. It really stuck out - I think it was maintained and flown for pride.

It's a pleasure sharing these with the community, trust me. I do them as much for myself, frankly I could paint all day - this was how I got into FS in the first place. Nice to knock out the odd skin here and there, and I feel there are plenty left to do!

Both paints are now up:

SSI01 - I did not know you were in the KANG, good sir! And memories of 'A' models (and the Gs) are exactly what I am looking for at the moment. Something I have not discussed here yet (since it not strictly FS-related) is that I am working on a book about the Canberra in international service, and desperately seeking people who flew or serviced the 'A' models. This is no easy feat, given that there were not many. How were you involved with the B-57 in KANG? Would love to hear more about it.

Don't know if I can help you, I was with another organization in the 313th Tactical Airlift Wing, which at that time shared Forbes w/the KANG 190th Bomb Squadron, flying the B-57Gs. I just saw them from the flight line. I did see them in flight, saw them starting up, and spoke with some people in the 190th about those odd-looking Gs. I can pass that along to you if you're interested.

I'd still love to hear about it - your memories of even seeing the aircraft and what you thought of them from afar are still great for the book. I can't always get direct experiences of flying or servicing, but impressions are often equally as interesting as the direct involvement. I'll PM you with my email now.

You are most welcome, Ed, hopefully I will have a few more to add to the stable over the coming weeks.

SSI01 - what can I say, thanks a LOT for the superb information you gave me. I will duly reply properly in email later today.

Steve
