FS2004 Lockheed L-1249A Turboprop. The L-1249A was the turboprop version of the Lockheed Super Constellation. Four were built for the USAF (YC-121F) and USN (R7V-2), which had considerably higher performance than the piston-engined versions. Full visual model with VC, new flight dynamics. Connie on steroids - or 'beauty and the beast'

Thank you Volker for pointing up the great upgrade to this amazingly beautiful and powerful machine. The VC really puts the icing on the cake (anyone had any lately?).

Been doing circuits at Edinburgh (Scotland) in all the crap weather we have been having and it performs like the rock solid professional it is.

The Connie is always so easy on the eye and with the conversion to turbo prop performance in all flt regimes is so good with that great reserve of power as a comforter during take off and landings. Shame that turbo prop engines in the early days did not establish quickly the reliability required. Plus 'The Jets' were already on the way.

Thanks again for a marvellous Xmas surprise when I returned from the family duty round.

Mal, if you look through the documentation on the later radial powered Connie releases, there is actually prop reversed modeled into the system. If the throttles are at idle, and the props are flattened (Ctrl+F1), you can push them into the negative by hitting Ctrl+F2 and then increase the throttle to either slow your rollout or push back from the gate (depending on weight). I can't remember if the pitch goes back to normal when the throttles are brought back or not - it's been a while. And I also use an X-52 that has a button that I set for reverse. The rotaries on the throttle are set for pitch and mix, so it's easy for me to get in and out of reverse pitch.

Disclaimer: It's been a while since I fired up my Sim, so Volker is more than welcome to correct me if I'm off on these procedures.

you can also click the prop reverse buttons to engage prop reverse.
