No contrails are seen in certain weather conditions

I have noticed for a while now that no contrails are seen, when you select in the weather type, bulilding storms. Is there areason for this, such, as realism, or a glitch ,also is there a way to get around this in the fs9config, or is there some kind of tweak possibly. Thanks:bump:

Check temperatures at altitude. Also each aircraft can set its own in the aircraft.cfg in the GeneralEngineData section:

max_contrail_temperature=-39.0 //stated in Celsius

The SDK says this:

max_contrail_temperature=-39.0 Ambient temperature, in Celsius, in which engine vapor contrails will turn on. The default value is about -39 degrees Celsius for turbine engines. For piston engines, the contrail effect is turned off unless a temperature value is set here.

Yep - I like to add the line to my high altitude piston pushers like the Connies and Lightnings.

I add it to the ones I fly a lot. Although I usually set the temp to about -25C as I like seeing contrails.
