Now available a little gem called Fox Moth

Mr Higgs has been a very busy bunny - also at Britsim.com, he has uploaded an Albacore, a prototype Albacore and a Swordfish pack. As yet I've not had time to install them, but they do look rather interesting.

Kia Ora SPman!

I am going on holiday to New Zealand late December. Will travel on the South Island first and then go to the Auckland region. Any idea where "your" Fox Moth currently is based?

Cheers,
Maarten :guinness:

Hey Maarten,

If you get a chance, take time out in Tauranga ( North Island NZ ) to see our Museum - http://www.classicflyersnz.com/

We don't have Fox Moth , but it's well worth a visit.

Be good to see you to.

Pete.

Hi Maarten
In the late 70's, I was involved (working hanger-on) in a project to rebuild 6 Fox Moth fuselages, and, it was hoped, to finish off 2 complete Fox's for the principal. Circumstances conspired to kill it, but, 1 of the projects is back in the air (ZK-APT a DH83C))
This is based, I think at North Shore airfield (just north of Auckland)

The quote about looping with crates of beer is true - the principal used to own Fox Moth ZK-ASP - which he eventually took to the USA and sold, but has returned to NZ and is flying now in it's original rego of ZK-ADI. This plane is in the South Island - I think it is flying out of Mandeville, near Gore.

Have a good trip - I hope to get home some time this year, as well.

Kia Ora SPman!

How great you worked on a real Fox Moth! Not many people can say that nowadays and I suppose you'll be the only one in Flightsimland or at least here at SOH. Brilliant!
