OT...IE8

Duckie

SOH-CM-2024
I am currently on IE7.xx, Win XP SP3, 32 bit. With all due respect to the other browsers out there, I prefer to remain with MSIE, mainly because I have had zero problems with it over the last 14 years or so.

That said, my question is for the IE users here. Are there any problems I should anticipate or expect by going to IE8 with regard to FS, other software apps., OS, or others.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Steve

If you mean Internet Explorer 8, I've had it since it came bundled with its service pack and have had no issues though it is not my primary browser. I know that I pretty much had to accept the upgrade from IE7 because many apps and features, MS and others, are in lock-step that I encountered various errors if I didn't. It is also possible to revert back to 7 and have done so once before but can't recall why. That's when I saw the problems that certain things wouldn't work without IE8. I guess the reasons I don't use IE are the speed and the consensus that there are other ones better at keeping out the crap. But like most computer stuff, stick with what you like and works.

Thanks for the feedback, aeromed202. :salute:

I use XP SP3 and have been using IE8 for quite a while without any issues that I'm aware of. I'm pretty sure I updated with one of those XP updates where it was easier to take it than to opt out.
