Bomber_12th

SOH-CM-2025
Here's the first installment, of an eventual three, of Kermit Weeks' latest "Kermie Cam" installment on flying the Grumman Duck. The remaining two parts have not been posted, but if you do happen to see them posted, feel free to add them here.

Wildcat "Kermie Cam"

If you happened to miss it, here is the three-part set of videos from the Grumman Wildcat:

Part 1

Part 2

Thanks for sharing the videos John . A lot more interesting than the NFL . Watched all three . He certainly has the Wildcat mastered .

Rich

Hello John,

Thank you for shearing with us these wonderful videos. It is very interresting and informative. We can learn the procedures for the wildcat in the real word.

Have a good day

Benoit

Part 2 of the Grumman Duck is now up, covering start-up and the taxi to the runway. Looking forward to part 3, which will cover take-off, flying, and landing on the nearby lake.

guess i must be more a machine guy than a flying guy, i like watching the walk around, checks, start up etc, but switch off when he starts to taxi as i find it boring to watch :icon_lol:

Hi,

Kermit Weeks has uploaded another video. This time he's flying the AT-6 Texan :)

Greetings
Tim

Thanks Tim, I've been looking forward to these Texan videos getting posted!

Note the cockpits have a great patina, gathered over the aircraft's roughly 7-decades of operation.

Video #2 with the AT-6D:

(Note this later-model example (as with others) has an electric starter. Earlier models had an inertia starter foot pedal (like certain variants of the P-40, P-39, and some others of that era).)

I could almost smell the Avgas and the stale leather and oil! And smell of grass and exhaust on the warm breeze... What a great video series!!

Hi,

I've just seen that Kermit Weeks has uploaded another episode of his great "Kermie Cam" series. Featuring his Sikorsky S-39 :)

Oh, it's not allowed to include more than two vidoes in one message. So here is the last part:

Greetings
Tim
