OT: What's your desktop backgroud?

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is it?

It's the ship from the TV Series Firefly. which was then after cancellation, continued in the movie Serenity.

At that link, you can watch every episode. Even the one's that were unaired when Fox Canceled it.

Might recognize a few actors in it.

Nathan Fillion (Slither, Desperate Housewives), Adam Baldwin (Chuck, Independence Day), Ron Glass (Barney Miller), Summer Glau (The Sara Conner Chronicles), Sean Maher (Brian's Song, The $treet) , Jewel Staite (Space Cases, Stargate Atlantis), Alan Tudyk (first knight, I robot), Gina Torres (Matrix, Cleopatra 2525), Morena Baccarin (Stargate SG1,)

Here are 4 of my recent desktops, 1 is my own picture (the C&NW F7), 2 are by friends of mine, and the last one I found online.
The picture of the 2 passenger trains was shot in Chicago Union Station, with the equipment (from the Illinois Railway Museum) being there for the filming of "Flags of our Fathers".

Simple, but helps to get to know every inch of an aircraft as a great reference while working on a project.

TARPSBird, do you have any links to a nice pic of a UP "BigBoy"? Most I have managed to find are very grainy.
Aeronca, check out this site, pics of just about every engine in the class:

Too bad UP hasn't kept a Big Boy in steam along with the 3985 and 8444.

How ya doing Don?

That sure is one of my old stomping grounds. Not more than a two hour drive for you Tom, hit the I-40 West and then hit NC 74 to Chimney Rock and Bat Cave. They have an SCCA Hill Climb about every year. A real nice place.

I'm constantly changing desktops, am using one of my screens right now.

Caz
Hey Caz, I drove through Bat Cave many many years ago on my way to Wilmington, NC with the ANG. I think we were lost but I always wanted to go back there as I was very impressed with that area. A very scenic area. Thanks for digging it back up from my memory banks. :jump:
Back on topic, my desktop looks a lot like PRB's. :costumes:

Hey Jeff, that is a clean looking CNW F7. Can that and the Bi-level coach car be found at the railway museum?
