For windows xp you right click on my computer, then click properties, then click the advanced tab, then click settings under the performance box, and then click the advanced tab...down at the bottom there is a box that says says virtual memory...here you can check and see just how much is allocated and you can change the amount if
as needed . MS suggests the virtual memory should be at least one and one half times larger than the total installed ram .
I might add , if you're not getting that Out of Memory error any longer then I would leave well enough alone .
