P3D/P4D screenshots redux...oops!

That's where we're headed, a nice day for a change, so a long let down over the water has us nicely positioned for a left downwind... no DME arc today!

...and here comes the fence now...

The DC-6 in the Orbx World- a combination that's hard to beat most days, and twice on Sundays (btw, it IS Sunday) ;)

Hey, it's a FLY SHOP.... wonder if Lefty's stopped in there, or perhaps it's another kind of Fly Shop.... anyone know?

Running up... headed to PAKT next...

... and a sedate climb at 800FPM/165KIAS to keep things cooling evenly...

...cowls cracked to 5 just to be sure...

...airspeed building nicely, cowls back to 0 degrees (we will end up at -2, and maybe -4 for the descent), mixtures locked to Auto Lean, 34"/2100 and things are settling in for the run down the coast...

You either have to go to Alaska, or go to Orbx's Alaska to see this sort of thing... absolutely brilliant-

Every single time I come here, to Bowerman, I cannot but be grateful to Orbx. What a splendid creation, and for FREE. One of the few things in life where you get so much more than you paid for.
I hope to return soon in my beloved SP-AMN (please YoYo), but for now, SP-ASR will have to do. BTW, stay tuned, there's news to come about the Aerosoft An-2 update, hopefully soon. Still, she's one of a kind, and if you don't own her- you might treat yourself- she's GRAND.

Here's another bit of the world that I am particularly fond of in the An-2. Fly Tampa's St. Barts, Saba and St. Maarten never disappoint. At the end of the day, when only an hour remains, and I want to forget the salt mines with their dead Canarys, this is one of the places I go in the old girl. The scenery is breathtaking, the FDE superlative and the experience always washes the day's dust away... one day I will bring my SP-AMN back to this bit of heaven (on earth)...

The one place in the world I sit up very straight in the An-2's cockpit on approach... and still it's easy to make the turn off and avoid the back taxy... NO REVERSE NEEDED... try that in a Twotter ;)
