Piper Pacer Super Pack, releasing!

Thanks for the repaint kit. We need a Brit so im working on G-ARHT (a Piper Caribbean), flown from Southport beach and also Bournemouth Hurn airport when i was a teenager (70s!!) by Capt Johnny Lewery who died a few years ago. This will be in memory of the former Wellington bomber gunner who must have given thousands of people their first experience of flight through his pleasure flights.

Hello Folks,

as this package "running" with the default Maule sounds, may i ask you if you stay with the default one or did you replace it by another sound pack and if yes, which one do you use ?
For now, i replace it by the RA Scout sound pack.

Hello Rob,

I will look into this now. It should work perfect, but in the Alaskan scenery we were having problems getting lock-ons. It was my thoughts that the moutains play havoc on the system (line of site) as the ADF freqs are all set and running (if the scenery pack is activated). Have you tried the ADF in regular territories and locations outside of Southern Alaska? It may be my scenery alone (mountain/valley locations) that is causing this.

Hey all,

I was originally going to use the Piper Cub soundpack, as it has a nice 4 cylinder sound and some wind noise. Then the decision went to the Cessna 172 for this but it isnt in P3D. I didnt know if I could circulate the MS FSX Cessna 172 into P3D via a payware package, (could be dangerous, legally), so it was changed to the Maule. I went through several planes (stock) and the Maule I really liked as it was quiet and calm at idle, and outside has a brilliant prop bite sound at good RPM (in flight, taking off, etc). I went with that one after testing it. Also, when it was linked to the Cessna, I then linked the sound for the Bush plane (only) to the Mooney in FSX and P3D. The Mooney soundpack is brilliant, a very high performance engine. I had also check the Extra 300, but that one just seems too loud. It would be pretty hard on the ears after several hours of flight time.


That might help with at least stock soundpacks. The Cessna 172 is good. I do not care for its 'gear' like sound in it (like a transmission sound, what ever it is). You might try the Piper Cub soundpack. I really like it. I used that one in the Robin DR400 package.

Key Switch (Ignition), still no fix

Hey all,

The ignition starter switch is still an enigma as to why it is not working for 'some'.

Can you tell some things that might help track down why this is not working?
* Special wide screens?
* FSX or P3D
* In full screen mode or windows mode?
* TrackIR running, or another device for looking around?
* Have you tried mousewheel?
* Are you parked next to fuel depots?



Here is a test. Try loading up a fully running plane, all running fine, and then load up the Pacer and shut it down. Is the key then have a mouseover finger/hand?


I wonder if this may be a addon program that blocks the starter? Could that possibly be?

Hello Bill,

In tghe simmarket super pacer web page it is mentionned the the model is for FsX SP1. I use the FsX/Acceleratikon Pack. May be the problem of starter key is only with fsx/acceleration pack?
I use window mode. But I have not TrackIR.
I have try the mousewheel without any success.
When I put the pointer over the magneto selector the pointer does not become a hand with finger.
When I place the pointer over the tag of the key the info that appear is related topark brake.
For my test I use LFMI default scenery of fsx.

I hpe It may help to solve the starter key problem.

You may have something there Benoit. When Iris was working on its F-14 they discovered that the wing fold wouldnt work correctly in sp-1/sp2 because regardless of what Microsoft says, there are differences between sp1/sp2 and acceleration.. They did what they could, but there were always problems with it..
 
On you web page you mention a patch for the generator. I have looked and cannot find it any where on the page. Where is it located or what should be added/changed?

There is not patch for a generator. Could you be talking about a different plane perhaps?
