Another great repaint. Thanks again for your efforts, gajit.

BTW - it does look great in FS9 :ernae:

Alright..alright, I am back. The repaints are nice, Gajit. At the rate the repaints are popping up (few at avsim) I'm pressed to buy it now.
....What's the word on the paint kit? I don't see mentioned where it has been released.

Pitts creeping in idle

Hi Anatolpopov,

This is by design. The Pitts Special S1-T is a very light aircraft with a powerful engine. It will creep into a roll on tarmac if the brakes are not on. A couple of people have noted that for them it would actually pick up quite a bit of speed and so I quickly altered this in order to stop speed building up beyond about 20 mph.

One of our Pitts pilots also mentions - and I quote - "when taxiing it on short dry grass I have to run it at idle and ride the brakes to prevent it going too fast."

Unfortunately a feature of Flight Simulator means that if your default starting profile does not have the parking brake set on, the sim starts with the aircraft already rolling!

Thank you for buying our Pitts. I hope you are enjoying it.

Best wishes

David
Addictive Simulations

It was really fustrating..... but yes indeed my Pitts had to be held on the not very good brakes on start up and liberal use of these not very good brakes were needed on any surface other than long grass!!

Apparently though, my brakes were excepionally not very good.

All Pitts vary in some way or another!

I have said it before somewhere .. but can't stop myself from repeating it......
The Addictive Pitts is the best sim I have flown in any FS version by far. Not only does it look real... it flies real. :jump:

How the heck you got that flight model so accurate will remain a mystery to me!

Please feel free to point any doubters in my direction..... it beats hands down the excellent 'Real Flight' SF260, I never ever thought I'd be able to say that...well I just have.

Congratulations Addictive .... more please!

If I understand correct here's real Pitts pilots? Or ex-Pitts pilots. Would someone please contact me on PM. I'd like to know more about flying Pitts.

Tx - hope to complete it over the next few hours
Excellent. :wiggle:

After a long day at the office there is nothing like a glass of wine and taking the AS Pitts up for a flight with a new coat of paint. :jump:

Thanks in advance, Gajit.

Are we having fun yet!! No pun intended.
...Sorry Gajit, but I know the feeling.

Sometimes doing repaints make me want to bang my head on my desk. But the final outcome is really worth the headaches.
...I would really like to know if a paint kit has been released for this Pitts.
I'm assuming that answer is yes, but nothing has been mentioned of it since Dans' last reference to it.

If you are doing the repaints by the included blank textures, that is one heck of a method of mental punishment. As I despise that means and I end up making the kit myself.
..I hate tracking down the little things when having to jump in blind

All these repaints and words of this nice aircraft made me get out my plastic. I'm just waiting for the registration info to get here so I can load this thing up :jump:
...I hope the paint kit is attached with it.

Just in case, I sent Dan a PM

All info and paint kit acquired. Thanks David. :salute:A little flying for inspiration and
...WOOHOOO!!!

I thought i would give myself a rest and start an "easy one" Its Red Eagle N77MN if you want to see the real world aircraft.
