Pitts Special

Hey all,
no response yet about the repaint but it's only been like a day or so. I was just thinking that at the rate they keep putting out Pitts aircraft we might get to see one of these beauties for our Esteemed Sim...:jump:

I'll keep hoping on the repaint, and I REALLY hope we get one of these also...:mixedsmi:

Got permission. Just re-applied for a new username and password to upload files; let's see what happens:jump:

I've uploaded the file; hope you all like it. I especially hope others more talented than myself will jump in on this incredible series of aircraft. :ernae:

Been having some jolly good fun with these little planes. Especially the 1S abd the 2A. Very forgiving and easy to fly, not to mention the eye candy.

I just downloaded it, thank you very much. These aircraft really are great fun. I sure hope they get the attention they deserve from all the repainters out there... :wavey:

I just hope they come out with an update with better unstretched textures so it will be easier to paint. I also don't like how the fuselage is separated into 3 or 4 pieces. This is the airplane that I want to paint. It is an open tandem cockpit pitts like the S2A. http://airshowstuff.com/Website%20Videos/Middletown%202008%20Web%20Videos/020%20%20%20Rob%20LaCerda%20-%20Entire%20Performance.wmv The video of the airplane is from Airshowstuff.com and the pitts is seen flying over Hook Field in Middletown, Ohio.

I wonder if an S-2B or S-2C is going to be in the line-up to be released. :wiggle:

Darrell

They almost seem to be coming in chronological order. If that's the case we shouldn't have to wait too long for the S-2B or C.

Skyhawk, I just found out what a Pitts Python is and you are soooo right about that! Makes me wonder why we haven't seen one of those at the Red Bull Air Races....:kilroy:

Here is a better picture of the pitts. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2714424790103582489FfCgfW I am a repainter my self, but don't have the time to work with the difficult texture layout. If anyone can paint it for me or has any texture updates I would appreciate it. This isn't related to the repaint, but this is the first aircraft for flight simulator that can lomcevok. To do this I move the general slider in realism settings all the way to the left. It can be done best with full fuel so check your fuel level before attempting. After your settings are correct, take off and dive to get your speed to at least 140 kias. Then pull up to about 15 or 20 degrees nose up and hit full right rudder and apply full down elevator. You should rotate once with neutral trim, and rotate twice with full down trim. The airplane might begin to stop tumbling nose over tail during the maneuver. To fix this reduce right rudder deflection and only use 75% power.

I have heard people ask this before. A RBAR pilot said that biplanes aren't used because of the reduced visibility out the top of the canopy because of the top wing.
