Pitts Special

These planes are really awesome! I REALLY like this one (S2C).

One thing though, I really wish they would get rid of the Grand Prix racing helmit on the pilot! I mean if I owned one of these things for real, that's the last thing I'd be puttin on! :costumes:
 
the pitts are awesome little aerobatic planes (very highpowered for their size or at least it seems so from the ground)

beside of flying these pitts renditions I fly the FFS Extra300L in FS9
and repainting it

How about the Pitts Samson? 450 hp. designed in the late 40's.
 
These things are Awesome. I get home from work everyday, and first order of business is to sit down at the computer and look for the Pitts Flavor of the day.
Its amazing how fast they're cranking these things out.

One thing I havent figured out how to fix is the dark tint on the canopy. Too Dark for my Taste and hard (For Me) to see out. Anyone have any Ideas how to make the Canopy Clear. I've tried diferent Textures, but reflection is still there and just as Distracting (To Me). A clear Canopy without reflection would really help me wring this thing out without hitting the ground. Please Help.

I totally agree with you here.
The Samson in my opinion is the greatest Pitts ever Designed by Curtiss Pitts. A great design coupled with the P&W 985 made an awesome performer and Gave it the sound all airplanes (except V-12 Powered) should have.

Need to put more air in the tires, the brake disks are dragging on the ramp. Never know what numbers to change to make this happen. Once again thanks for your help.

Ok, these figures are from the S2B but should be appropriate for any one in the series.
In your aircraft.cfg you will see the section called 'contact points':

You want to concentrate on points 1 and 2 (if your tailwheel seems a bit sunken that is point 0). Change the -5.15 to -5.3.

Wow, that 11b is a touchy little rocket! My first flight, I was over-controlling like crazy. Thought it might have been due to flying WW1 era craft so long, but I tried a few of the other Pitts and it seems this one is very responsive.
