PMDG 737 NGX released!

I think it will be a little hard to buy it tonight .... PMDG staff will have a loooong night.
 
I'll be getting it once the hoopla has died down a little. Their store is back online for the moment, but it just can't hurt to let things shake out for another day or two before trying to download something that I'm sure will be huge.
 
PMDG was hit with a DOS attack out of china soon after they went live.. The site is now back up ( and i'm downloading as I write this :) ). However, there must have been a thousand of us that all hit the purchase button at the same time, so, the site is slow.. Just be patient..

Gee, isn't the ifly 737 made by a Chinese team? :)

New computer parts came in the post today which is good timing. Just got to put it all together.
 
I just wish I had the money you guys (and Gals) seem to have laying around....$500,000 is a lot for an addon, even if it is PMDG...:icon_lol:

Grrrr, bought and paid for but no download link accompanying the receipt. Will try to log off and then on again. I am dying to check it out and compare to the Ariane releases I own already. Plus, this has downloadable manuals, which Ariane does not.

Anticipation............is killing me.

initially, its easier to handle than the ariane 737s. beautiful to hand fly, perfect autopilot, havent checked the fmc yet, modeling is excellent and the vc is extraordinary.. I'm happily impressed over all..
 
The DoS attack on PMDG was rather unfortunate. There isn't much they could have done about it, but for all of those (including myself) who have paid for the product and are now in limbo waiting for a reply from PMDG with a download link and registration, the launch was a bit of a fiasco.

From what I read, those who actually managed to get a link got good speeds, which confirms PMDG preparedness for non-malicious traffic.

Pity really, I hope they can sift through the support tickets quickly. I'd like to get to use the NGX this weeked but I am not putting my hopes up too much with a potential backlog of thousands of customers in the same situation.

all standard never tried o/c cause it is stable and I figure why cause problems.
 
The HUD/HGS system makes it almost too easy to fly. It is unreal how much it helps your awareness in all types of weather.


FPS-wise, it isn't as good as the MD-11 like I had hoped. It is better than the iFly version though.

Can't wait to take a flight in her tonight! :jump::jump::jump:
 
Does it have a "quick start option" to jump in and fly while you are learning the systems?

You can choose different setups for when it loads. I set it to cold and dark but yes there's an option with the engines running and everything turned on.


Thankfully due to its modern-ness its not hard to learn.
