Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

PMDG DC-6: Native MSFS 2024 update Out

The mod is available at https://flightsim.to/addon/109931/pmdg-dc-6-engine-startuo-smoke-for-msfs2024. Installation is not really clear. Suggest unzipping into a folder and reading the pdf. I first unzipped into the Comm Folder and missed the pdf. Replace three files in your "real community" folder and save the originals in a safe place. There is added smoke, albeit, feeble at best. Not at all the overwhelming bellowing clouds we recognize in the R3360's. It's a nice attempt and creator states this is only first attempt. YMMV . Blue skies... Terry

Another update on OC3 - quote:

This is Build 2.04.064

This build addresses a frozen animation on the #4 engine propeller and adds further protections for WASM stability at run-time.

I never noticed a problem on #4, but there we go.

From what RSR posted, they were a bit surprised at the amount of attention the FS24 DC-6 got, over and above their 737 and 777. I hope this will lead to further development - they did once say that the DC-6 was the first of a new PMDG 'Classic' product line. Start daydreaming now! ;)
