I had asked you a fair question; if you had intentions on adding a custom made sound, yet it seems that you "ignore" my simple question.
That's your prerogative; A simple yes, no or maybe response would of been appreciated, Have fun playing with your "toy(s)".

I think you may want to retract that gray eagle! Ted has given us all sorts of paints and sounds for free and I'm sure he doesn't mean to ignore you. Perhaps a polite pm would have been the best way to attract his attention.

I am keenly aware of his talents and the gifts that he has.

I would send him a PM, thing of it is, he shut off this option to allow me to send him a PM. i.e. the PM option is shut off. So the only way to communicate with the man is to regretfully go public.

Let me ask you, If you had asked someone a question like I did and was not afforded an answer, how would you feel, react. It gets a little frustrating sometimes.

It's not worth it so I digress and will just forget it all.

Some beauty shots from P3Dv2.4. It is my opinion that P3D is becoming a sim that cannot be touched by FSX. The ability to render light with all of it's nuance is beyond anything I can achieve in FSX. I beta test my new work in both sims...side by side there is no comparison. The pics illustrate my point.

Caps are un-retouched raw caps from P3Dv2.4 sliders maxed running ASN weather, REX TDw/soft clouds.

I agree with what you say, but often I find the contrast is wat high and that it makes everything to dark and obscured. Maybe I´m an ignorant and havent found a way to adjust that, but I would like a contrats slider. I would actually like P3Dv2 to be a bit more fsx'y on that point.

Lovely screenies

The HDR can be tweaked to increase/decrease brightness. I found the contrast was not an issue when I slightly brightened the overall shader setting using a modification of the tweak.

With the tweak I can run HDR at night and not over contrast the night lighting in the cockpit or on the ground.

The caps above were shot at stock P3Dv2.4 settings without the tweak. The terrain in the area shown above is naturally very bright, so I prefer to run stock settings when I fly in this WIP scenery to preserve the rich natural environment

Looking good "G"!!! I prefer P3Dv2.5 over FSX now that it runs smoothly. I notice the visual effects are handled differently than FSX.

Thanks for the tip about contrast.
I made the edit and changed 0.85 to 0.65 and maybe I see a small difference. What number does people that like the tweak use?

Its a matter of taste ... and monitor(s) I believe.

I think the number will vary based on each system and monitor.
A lower number is brighter...higher is darker. I'd just experiment to find the sweet spot.

If your monitor has an NVIDIA Control Panel you can adjust your Gamma up or down, but this is a global change that will affect everything you view on that monitor. It's a matter of choice.

I usually just use the P3D tweak when I want to lighten things up a bit. I prefer to keep the rich contrast, slightly lighter, but that's a personal preference.

Generally, for night flights, I use the tweak to enhance cockpit and ground lighting. In the Milviz 737 with the variable lighting or the QW 757 I much prefer the tweaked cockpit lighting. The light is much "warmer" using the tweak.

For my sceneries, I create the LM maps to render more richly with the tweak operating. The ground lighting really springs to life.

Overall...it's nice to have options until LM puts a slider into the lighting menu.

Thanks for the gamma tip. I adjusted it a bit. My FS-PC is FS only, so its not affecting anything.

Changing the value in hdr tweak to 0.65, was more than anything noticeable in the VC.

I will slowly find my own settings, which will be a compromise and then leave it there and concentrate on simming.

A small flight I made over Corsica yesterday, with the Dassault Mystere. I love that plane, I just wish it would get some photoreal repaints someday.

About to do my final turn to land on runway 18 at Solenzara airbase, visible under my fuel tanks...
