• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

PSA for those in Europe and the UK about Windows 10 support ending

Dangerous Beans

SOH-CM-2022
I assume everyone knows by now that support for Windows 10 ends later this month unless your willing to cough up a fee to extend it by one year :(
Some of us for whatever reasons may not want or not be able to upgrade to Windows 11 and not want to pay up.

What you may not have heard is that for the European economic zone Microsoft have been forced to extend support for one year free of charge and although it doesn't say it it does include the UK :)

Here's a link to a YouTube video that explains it quite clearly what you need to do to get the extended support

If like me your in the UK I would do it quickly before Microsoft remember that where not in the European economic zone any more

Mods, I didn't want to spam this though lots of the sub forums and I didn't know where would be the best place so I posted it here.
If this is the wrong place feel free to move it. also it might be a good idea if you link it in some of the more active sub forums as I feel it is important info and I don't think everyone looks here very often, I know I dont.

No worries! Thanks for posting. I think a lot of our user base will appreciate it!

EDIT: important enough to make a sticky out of it!

Yes, that is all well and good, BUT I watched another youtube video about Windows 10 ESUs yesterday in which it said that you MUST also log on to your M$ account at least once every 60 days - or your ESU support will vanish ! ! !
