Putting FS9 back together again

falcon409

SOH-CM-2025
Here's the scenerio:
I installed Windows7 about 3 weeks ago and prior to the installation I did a back up of things on the C drive I wanted to restore after the upgrade, the FS9 folders that stored the cfg files and the folders that stored the flights, etc were the ones I wanted to back because FS9 actually resides on another drive. Well, I did the backup, got everything I wanted and went on with the installation of Windows7.

Now fast forward a few days later and once I had everything pretty much set as I wanted again I went to the backup to restore the stuff I wanted back. . . .the program that I used to do the backup isn't compatible with Win7 so all my backups are worthless.

Now, I have an earlier save of those same folders that I simply dragged over when I was thinking of going to XP (these would be maybe a month earlier). . .I have FS9 exactly where I want it right now minus those folders. . . .you've already guessed where I'm going with this. . .will it work or am I going to have to go back and reinstall FS9 and start over. . . .AGAIN?

Personally I perfer reinstall fresh...

I don't know if it work or not as I never do that..Sorry.

Tough question as it depends on what you have!
Anything with a Windows Registry pointer isn't going to light up, obviously.
Why not just try and see?
Anything that doesn't show up gets a re-install.
