RAZBAM news, CFS2 models go freeware

SkyHawk Sounds

Hi,
Just a heads up,
it appears (at least on the download that I have) that the A4 Skyhawks don't have any sound folders. The aircraft in Volume 3 do have a sound folder and the sound.cfg file points to the A4EUSNAVY version out of Volume 2. Unfortunately A4EUSNAVY doesn't have a sound folder.

There are any number of good jet sound packs out on the web, I would suggest that you grab one of those.

Hope this reduces some peoples frustration.

I'm fairly sure mine didn't come with sounds when they were payware, 'cos I remember BC fixing me with some sounds for them.

Banshees

Hi All. Just downloaded this fabulous package and installed the Banshees. Every time I try to fly them they crash my game for some reason. I swapped out the sound file for one I know works, but no joy!

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

P.s. Just tried the Volume 1 Skyraiders with the same problem. I hit the fly now button, the scenery loads, then CTD. I know my installs are ok, as I tried other airplanes right after this and they were fine. Is there something I should know about these RazBam airplanes?

. . . for all the help in finding these. I am pretty sure I looked there the other day, but I think the problem was that I had just signed up and it probably takes a while for the download to show. Then again, When I look for things around the house my wife often points out that its right in front of me. :isadizzy:

Yes, they are great! The download broke once, but I simply tried again starting from where I left off. The file opened just fine.
 
I am having a problem with the Skyhawks. I have installed them (Vol. 1-4) in the CFS 2 directory but they are not showing up in the aircraft list. Other planes install fine though. Any idea?
 
I do believe that the Skyhawk packages come without sounds. You may need to go into each Skyhawk and give them a sound pack or alias them to a sound pack.

Crashes out on me also

download stops at 82%..................

I get a file .......but it has to be incomplete. Try to open but corrupt.

so could be a time out thing.......for us slower downloaders.

Yep.....varies but the download times out. Maybe at the Razbam site for slow loaders only so much time allowed.....and it times out. You get a file. but it is corrupt.

Maybe...........if we plead......he can break em down into individual aircraft packages.
 
Stayed up late and downloaded

Server could just be busy on the Freeware......

I stayed up late and I finally got 100%........but

I also posted the issue at the Razbam Forums.......and so after I got 100% and not corrupt.

so maybe the administrator worked some magic??

gaucho_59, you just quoted the chief admin in your posting. Ron (or Prowler1111) is the man to contact and he's left his calling cards all over this thread. Just send him a PM here at the SOH telling him your problem or whatever and let him hit you back. Its not so complicated....
 
Anyone find the cause for the CTD? I'm trying to get the Banshee - has a sound file, but no joy.

Well I finally got 'em. Now I just have to get a new graphics card for my home PC (Right after I get my transportation woes solved)..
