I personally contacted Bertrand via Discord yesterday and provided receipt for the 2020 version. He answers most all of the Redwing comments there. He was most helpful and he provided the 2024 version for $20. I think he gets far little credit for what he's accomplished. After my experience I would easily give him the full $40. He's really a hard worker and his attention to detail and customer service beyond any in the marketplace today. (Not MSFS MP) I was skeptical at first after successfully using the 2020 version in 2024. The upgrade is noticeable and to me worth the price of admission. Cabin refurb, sounds, texture upgrade and minor systems improvements become evident upon first use. There are some further updates and variances in the mill and is a passion project for sure. Definitely recommend.

Most of the time, buyers don’t look to see what has been modified or upgraded on an addon. The only criterion that interests them is price.
If they knew how long it would take to go and analyze the SDKs, the tests, and the time needed to implement new features, the time consumed by multiple tests, they would have a little more idea of the value of what they were buying.
I talk with Bertrand from time to time and, being both French, it allows for easier and more direct exchanges. We exchange tips and tricks and honestly he made a very big investment in time and work on this version.
On another forum, I read that the external model had not evolved too much, but when it comes to making a flat surface, 4 vertices are enough, there is no need to burden the rendering engine by putting 1024, adding more on the curves of a rounded and more profitable shape.
Simtech tried to see a little further than the advertisement and when reading Discord we are surprised by everything that has been done. We need more people like him

Now that the decision has been made to sell the V3 exclusively through the marketplace, that’s no longer possible. I’m not happy about this decision either, but I also realize that for smaller development studios, it’s the best way to recoup a little of their costs through sales.
Anyway, my Columbine III livery for the fantastic V3 is available. I did my best, working 10 hours of my freetime on it. But hey, its free.

And to be fair, he's offering a discount to folks who bought the 2000 version elsewhere. I did it and no regrets, plus had a nice exchange with him. It's not as optimal as just doing it from a store, but he's not abandoning folks and this is a manual process for him that takes time, so it's not self-serving.
