I thought I might start a thread about the Redwing Connie for FS2024, which is at the moment
in beta testing.

I know the Redwing Team is working day and night putting in countless hours to make this release issue free. I have the privilage to beta test the aircraft, and from what I see so far, no one will be disappointed in this completely new version for FS2024.

There have been many updates from the FS2020 version, which includes, updated AI crewmembers, textures, systems, flight dynamics, walk around animations, just to name a few.

Anyone who enjoys old proplines with radial engines will certainly want to take a look at the FS2024 Redwing Connie when it is released. There is no release date at the moment, but hopefully it won't be too far off.

To keep up to date on the progress of Connie, visit the Redwing Discord which is updated frequently.

At the moment Jan we only have the PMDG DC-6 to fly in FS2020, using some tweaks you can make it work in FS2024. I know everyone is waiting for PMDG to release their FS2024 version, which is in a lengthy delay at the moment.

For anyone who enjoys spending some time in the cockpit, of a propliner of the past, they will certainly welcome the new FS2024 Connie from Redwing.

Not to mention, all the time and effort Didier is putting into his DC-4 project which will be another very welcomed addition to the propliner fleet.

Plus all the work Nick is putting into his excellent B-24 project.

These are good times for all of us who enjoy airplanes with 4 radial engines on the wings!

This really great news. The Redwing Connie has been one of my top favorite aircraft for MS2024, even in its 2020 foundation. The only real issue I've had is with the auto-pilot not being fully functional.

I am not sure what the Redwing team did to improve the exterior textures, but they look very nice and a big improvement over the FS2020. That is a cool looking model TuFun and I believe there will be a few different military models to choose from. Hopefully there will be a user friendly paint kit developed for all the talented painters on this forum.

We are testing engine fires and following the correct procedures found in the emergency checklist is very important to making a successful landing.

The Connie flies very well with two engines out or shutdown. I am sure soon to be future FS2024 Connie pilots will enjoy all the new features Redwing has added to their FS2024 Connie.

Once you get an engine fire you have 90 seconds to put it out, or it elevates to a more serious level, or emergency. So, having your emergency checklist and knowing the location of all the items that need to be checked and set is very important for a successful outcome/landing.

Redwing has modeled the flight dynamics very well and their Connie feels like a heavy 4 engined propliner. 1779121504608.png

This is as fun as it is challenging!

Those flames... are also in in V3. With better effects.

With GTN650/750 you can fly automatic RNP/RNAV approaches, if you need those modern stuff. Next to ILS. AP is working fine. You can navigate with GPS or VOR. Its up to you.

You will have hypoxie-effects - but you can luckily turn it off in EFB. It appears, if you didn´t adjust presserization system of cabin right. The tunnel view will be smaller and smaller in case of hypoxie:
