Repaint for Piglet's A-12A Avenger II

Flying wings lend themselvs very well to some very creative paint jobs due to there flat and mostly unbroken canvas. I just there were more flying wings in the world to paint!
Would definitely lend itself to some VERY interesting possibilities for racing at Reno!

Fantastic......:mixedsmi:

I might just finish up my NASA repaint that has been sitting in the hangar for quite some time now. It won't be as cool as yours though.

Tommy

Tommy ....that'll be another one I'm interested in seeing...;)

So far, all my repaints have been modded/redone at pixel level as one-offs. My next effort will be to set them up as layered PSDs so I can add lines, rivets, weathering and other bits and pieces with 'ease'. The way I'm doing it at the moment is labour-intensive [and silly].

Here's a bigger pic of the Reaper skin ... with rivets and weathering as layers. Gets a bit tedious to have to add them to the trans image as well, but that's the price of high res, I guess...;)

My NASA repaint will be a bit simplistic, but one I wanted to do in any case. Even the "simple" repaints can drive you nuts. There is always something new to learn on every repaint.

Since you are doing rivets, metal skin, and weathering, I'll send you some images (maybe this weekend) of some work I did on my most current Virtavia / AlphaSim Martin Mars repaint. I tried a new technique I found on the internet that you may be interested in.

Tommy,...simple paint or not I'd still like to see others' ideas, particularly when proto aircraft are such 'blank canvasses'....;)

Looking forward to anything you send, too ...;)

Tommy....that looks great....;)

Thanks,

That one was gathering dust on the shelf for quite a while. I figured I'd have another look-see at it before abandoning it for good. It came out much better than I expected it to look.

I am looking forward to your re-release of the Sundowners.

Tommie and Jafo - some seriously yummy repaints there. Love the X-15 and most recent NASA paint - really believable.

Bravo!!
