Repaint for Piglet's A-12A Avenger II

This is a compliment to my NASA repaint.....If the Russians had developed this aircraft in the 1950's, this is probably what it would have looked like; exposed weathered aluminum skin with tons of rivets, and some newer metal patch panels here and there.....It's rough and tumble, Russian style.

I was not concerned with the default panel lines for items such as the bomb bay doors and wheel well doors as this was more study in exposed metal skin for me. Looks real nice flying next to the NASA repaint.

Tommy ... that one evolved into the B2 Spirit - styled one ....nice and low-key 'stealth' low vis and all that.

'Spose I could go all SR71 .... lots of fuel leaks....;) At least I saw one once....when I made it to the US a few years ago.... strangely it was on the Intrepid ....and if they actually landed it there I'm sure that'd be a bigger miracle than the 'second coming'...;)

Yeah, an SR-71 afterburner catapult from an aircraft carrier would look insane.....:ichile:
 
I'm currently reworking this one into my layers....[cos the panel lines are better in them].....and there's always some new tweaks. The paint ver is well and good...but I always preferred the metal finish...;)
