Tommy...yes, the two aircraft are so dissimilar it's difficult to 'translate' the graphics from one to another....but that's what makes it FUN....;)

Those blue stripes are a pain...the innerones wrap into the 'sides' ...so a lot of trial and error to get them 'close'...;)
 
There's something somewhat believeable about the Vulcan paint, for sure!

These look good.

I don't know if you've thought about it - but is any of your recent weathering applicable onto a USMC A-6E type scheme of this sort:

or ... light compass grey ... some such variation?

I think you did some earlier USN schemes, but thinking about incorporating the recent work you've done. Just a thought.

It's '12' because of the aircraft 'name' ...;)
 
Yes, I probably 'should' get back to the 'plausibles'....an A6 low vis grey would be certainly more likely...and do-able....just need to dig up appropriate reference images for insignia etc...;)

Thanks, guys..... yes, you're probably right....these 2 first.

Any other vers you can think of - similar Navy/Marine stuff? Things like 'painted tails' are always going to be a challenge...on a plane with no tail...but that's where the fun is...;)

JAFO, you've done so much ... but since you've asked - and again, just ideas ....


Given the "protoype" nature of this plane, maybe this might work, angular lines and all ... (of course, with MD as the vendor, not Northrop ...)
