-Question, what role have the lights in your picture? Mine do not light up!

The taxi/landing lights are switched by lvars which are coded in the model; they cannot be switched using the FSX key commands like CTRL-L. You have to use the taxi/landing light switch in the VC. BTW: Selecting "Ready to Start" turns the taxi light on and it goes out when you retract the gear after take off.

The engine overheat/fire lights were something I discovered this week and they work in the latest file (v1.01a) which is currently in the library. Not sure if it is historically correct but I made them go on if the engines are overheated, on fire or stalled. They are on before/during engine startup and they go out once both engines are running.

As I wrote below: "You have to use the taxi/landing light switch in the VC." That switch is on the lower left side of the panel:
The tailhook has to be fully down before you can click it back up. If you click it too soon when the tailhook is still moving, it will not work.

Which shockwave light? I added a shockwave landing light in the [lights] section and it works OK:

light.15 = 5, 14.7, 0.00, -7.20, fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_old

Yep - I've got the same section but for me it makes no difference to the appearance of my lights. I added that light to a different aircraft to see what the effect looked like, and I'm not getting it with my F4. No idea (I don't think it's a DX10 issue since I can see shockwave lights on other aircraft.)

Not sure if this helps but be aware the shockwave 3D FX is only attached to the landing light, not to the taxi light. If you select "Ready to Start", the taxi light is switched on, landing light is off. If you want the 3D FX for the taxi light, add an extra [lights] entry like this:

Taxi light or landing light... whatever you want to call it, That change WORKED for me. Looks nice! :jump:

EDIT: Oh crap... I am a muppet Henk. It's a bit hard to read and I did not realize the lights switch was up for Taxi and Down for Landing lights. It's fine either way now that the operator is on-board.

Bit more to do...but thanks to Henk's input I now have a 3-stage Burner/Afterburner effect....mated to my original light choice... 2...1...9 and that leaves 8 to handle wing vapour effects...which also work. Need to tweak co-ords in both next....;)

Then I'll marry the ARS4 radar to my 2D [been using an older ver by Dietmar].

Been to Konya AB many times flying the E-3A...and once we were stopped on base by a guard...pretty close to a gunnery target and vrrrrmmmm...came the 20mm bullets screaming past and obliterated the traget (not much more that a bedsheet with a bullseye painted on it...well that's what it looked like to me...)

Been a busy lad....got my burnersbehaving....and updated to the ARS4 ver of the Radar...in both VC and 2D...then looked at it all at night....

Here's me lining up at YMML with the engines 'ticking over'.....
