Has the aircraft been updated to an acceptable level? Are the sounds better? Better FDE? Afterburner? Speed over 600 knts?
It is steeply priced for an add-on that has al these points lacking.

I don’t think it’s been updated since that 2022 post. A real shame as it’s a pretty good model, but it also needs to fly right.

I pinged Roland to see if he has any updates planned in the future... I'll let y'all know what he says!

I bought it, if only to support Roland. The price is a bit steep but I'm happy with this addon.
Challenging to put this one on a carrier!:biggrin-new:

Hi all,

Thinking of getting this as a hardcore F-8 fan.

Any recent updates/experiences with the latest MSFS2020 updates? Also, does this plane work well on carriers? For example, the DC Designs Harrier doesn't land on moving carriers - slides back, making it useless on moving carriers - arguably the best kind. I live with it for a VSTOL plane, but for a CATOBAR plane, in 2025, no way I'm using a static carrier.

Thanks so much in advance.

I have the plane but I haven't tested it in a while. My last remembrance about it is being super nose-heavy, which surprised me and made the landings quite difficult. The 3D model is not bad, especially the cockpit, but not top tech (materials or textures, not sure...). I should get it out of the hangar again...

Haven't flown it in a while, but I do remember liking it very much. I'll load it up one of these days and will give it a whirl!

Nice model in general but it came out in the early days of FS2020 and hasn't been updated in some time. Sad as it doesn't look like we're every going to see a high end Crusader for MSFS nor DCS, the latter appears to be on hold or perhaps discontinued.

Man...an F-8 (an RF-8A/G in addition would be a bonus) would be outstanding. Agreed though...we probably won't see one anytime soon...if ever.

It's still not supersonic. :-( Laborie has apparently abandoned it. I emailed asking if there'd be an update and didn't get a reply either way.

Thanks lads. A few things there are deal breakers. Delta_Lima going around ... ;)

Yes, agreed @ColoKent, I've been hoping for an RF-8G since forever. Now if the Royale French Navy gents do for their models what the Restauravia guys are doing for theirs, there may yet be hope, at least for the C, E, E(FN) models.

To adapt the Crouze on MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024, it is not very simple; although being a member of the Restauravia team, I do not have the possibility to see what the two dlls relating to instruments and radar contain.
The other adaptations, like the Zephyr and the Vautour, were coded in xml, which is easier to use.
But, who knows, if it is feasible, I will do it.

Jean, thank you for your reply and I would like to add that it would be great if your Team's F-8 were to be remodeled for FS2020/24. It was always a very nice model like so many the team has produced and would be nice to see and fly again. I add my vote for the idea.
