RW pilots: Under which conditions does CHT exceed temperature limitations?

Hi,
in a discussion related to simulation of engine limitations over in the Flight Dynamics forum I'd be very interested in real world pilot's advice on the following question:

- Under which conditions can/does CHT exceed temperature limitations in real-world planes???

I would really appreciate if you could drop in into the thread linked below and offer advice there:

Thanks a lot!
