SB2U-1 and -3 Vindicators.zip

From what I read the dive brakes caused so much drag that full engine power was needed to maintain control and caused caused severe aileron buffeting.

The Dbolt .dp has wing racks for light ordinance.

I think it works really well done!

bonus an overview of the base of Toulon

Looks good!

Not sure that a panel like you have now would be any good in CFS2 as you can't see to fly let alone aim a bomb.

Yee of little faith.. lol

The originals of the panels I do are at 800 DPI ... and very large... so they can be resized and cropped to suit one's needs...
As you an see here... you got all kinds of sky available.... Now... all that needs to me done is to crop it down to the desired shape (wide screen, etc.)
I just added some stuff on the sides and voila'... you got all the sky you could want..
Actually, in many aircraft like the P-47, the pilot needed someone to sit on the wing while taxiing because all he could see was the panel....
once airbornel and (usually) diving on his prey... he could see over the sunshield of the panel...
At any rate... remember this panel is still a WIP... it is now widescreen... but can be cropped to a narrower quadrangular texture by cropping off some
of the sides... and still keep the same amount of head room... and needs to be properly finished...

I have to add more nuts and bolts on the sides and top of the canopy greenhouse...

Finished...

SB2U and V-156F panels

I'll prob use Beepee panels as they are more suited to CFS2.

Hi Allen,
Here are the zip files. One with a SB2U panel folder (with reworked compass gauges), one with a V-156F.
In both files, the panel bmp files are in native BMP 24bits colour as I did not manage to transform them in 640 and 1024 bits, 256 colors BMP's. Each time I tried to do that, I get a lot of artefacts in the bipmaps (may be due to the paint program I use). So I let you finish the final job.

Hi Gaucho-59,
Thanks a lot for the last proposal you made.
But I feel like Allen as the former versions are more suited for CFS2 and more adapted to fit with the internal VC views of the bird.
So I used in this ultimate panels the SB2U and the V-156F bipmaps I created some days ago and posted in this thread on March 28th and 29th, and I also made credit of your help in the panels read-me files.
Nevertheless, if you thinck this bipmaps look too "primitive" be kind enough to finish themand to post them back in this thread. You will be wellcome.
Regards
Beepee

Just curious, why don't the models have the rear canopy part that comes down to close the rear part of the cockpit?

Beepee
I got them and will get the fitted.

I need to remove polygons to keep the lag down and I didn't want to animate it.

Be glad to...

Have not seen those bitmaps... but if you so desire...I can touch them up... I don't quite understand "more suited to CFS2" ... or "adapted" to the internal VC views... please explain... in the world of graphics everything is possible it just takes a good painting and configuring colors program... like PSP or Photoshop... like I said before... the proofs I submitted are open to changes in color, surface area... you name it... and they can be put into 256 colors without any substantial loss in detail

I can understand that, It just caught my eye as an admission that slightly through this historian's eye off. but besides that, she looks good.....

Ture anyway.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - France
Description: Marjor rebuild of Paul Clawson SB2U Vindicator. Features many animated parts and breaking part logic. Model is Multi LOD with working virtual cockpit.

Optional damage profile that uses Dbolt's Weapons. Both DPs use a mix of US and Japanese bombs as I don't know of a French weapons pack that could be used. Skin template is included in the textue folder for your painting pleasure. You will need a program that can read .PSD to use it.
Aircraft has Windows 7 safe panel.

To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit V-156F Vindicator.zip
The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Allen,

For a French weapons pack look for Bloch 200 in French a/c section. The plane includes a small weapons pack.:running:
