That's how every VC should look. We have had great offerings, and many not so great. Can you teach classes?:icon_lol:
 
Here's some shots of the A-7/R2 pit.
New Revi 16 B gunsight and a somewhat simplified left console make the difference over the previous versions. The 12-Lampen-Gerät (gear/flap indicator) replaced by the 4-Lampen gear indicator and two simple mechanical indicators for flap position.

There's a lot more detail in the cockpit to be seen from the outside this time around.
Gauges and night lighting works also in the exterior model.

You're talking about "the bulge", the Mg131 cover in front of the canopy?
Yeah, that's a weird shape.
No surprise that the Flugwerk guys didn't get it right in their real world replica.:bump:

A bit OT but i'm looking for books on the FW190, any recommendations?

As good as that sounds it really more of a gripe for me. Who needs working gauges in the external whenever you can texture them on nicely enough.

Although I do like working collimation so hats off for the gunsight :D

Because it comes at no cost.
The externally visible gauges are of course drastically polygon-reduced as compared to the interior gauges but use the same textures.
We actually save noticeably on drawcalls and texture loading time since we don't have to apply an extra sheet to the external stuff.

Well Josquin, there's unfortunately no such thing like the universal Fw190 book.
Particularly older literature, while often a good photo reference, tends to be prone to errors and miss-interpretions and at times pure phantasy on the author's side. Then you have the situation that one author copies from another and in no time is a myth turned into publically accepted fact.
The Kagero issues "Focke Wulf Fw190 Vol. 1 - 4" is a quite comprehensive rundown of the 190's version and unit history, though it repeats at times old errors in the version history.
"Focke Wulf Jagdflugzeug Fw 190 A, Fw 190 Dora Ta 152 H" by Peter Rodeike has loads of reliable and well researched info and photo-references on 444 pages. Drawback is a. the somewhat low quality print, b. the information is somewhat hidden within the many picture captions and c. AFAIK it's only available in German language.

One notable payware aircraft just has the gauges tetured on to a 4 polygon plane hehe
 
Just thought I'd post this shot of the panel from vc but just outside. The realism is incredible and goes further than most to the goal of "willing suspension of disbelief" that all sims and games strive for. I just want to walk through the screen and strap in...
