Flight Replicas' Spitfire Mk.V looking sublime in '2024 with the latest sim update.

John, your last shot looks like the ending of my last three flights, all in different aircraft. Just flying along, not overstressing or overheating anything, and the engine just quits. Won't restart without resetting. Have you seen any of this since the last update?

Took a delete and reinstall of the sim to get back in. Seems like a day I can't get back. Switched to decaff, so took a little trip to Banff, Canada.

Hi Don,

I haven't experienced that, per se. Once on takeoff in the XCub, the engine burbled and began to quit on me, but I believe that was due to carb icing since carb heat seemed to solve it. With regard to the engine suddenly quitting with no explanation, I wonder if you might have more than one controller tied to the mixture control maybe?

Here are some screenshots of the Flysimware Nieuport 24 flying from Burning Blue Designs Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome in the UK.

I still remain in awe of the work that Blue Mesh was able to do in bringing the Ryan NYP to virtual form, using 3D scans of the real thing to produce a milometer-accurate model. Of course the way in which the model is presented (as it looks today), is as the aircraft has been since after Lindbergh gifted the 'Spirit' to the Smithsonian on April 30, 1928, with about a dozen changes/modifications that had taken place since it had made its first test flights a year prior. Those changes included the removal of the balsa tail skid fairing during initial test flights, spinner replacement after flight from St. Louis to New York, barograph measuring device installed during NY-Paris flight (removed after), fuselage covering/repairs after flight to Paris, repairs to horizontal stabilizer after arrival in England, removal of earth inductor compass windmill shaft balsa fairing, additional cowl louvers added after return to US/ahead of US goodwill tour, tires & wheels changed during middle of US goodwill tour, base of rudder reprofiled after end of US goodwill tour, flare tubes added for Latin America tour, blue compass correction chart added to instrument panel ahead of Latin America tour, and national flags and military insignias painted on cowls during Latin America tour.

Interesting that you got the L-1049 to work. Mine crashes the sim.
I used it on a full flight without any problems. A few things didn't work but it did great. Not sure if it makes a difference, but mine is a full install directly into 2024 and not a 2020 copy over.

No, I just copied into my FS2024-Community. Systems/effects or sounds are running, but EFB/Kneeboard and all avatars are missing.

I had the EFB that comes with the Connie working. It looked like all or most all of its features were working. I also had the flight engineer and radioman show in the back, and the stewardess. No pilot or co-pilot though.

Also copied into the FS2024-Community folder.

A few attempts were made starting on the runway. The plane shown with props running with the usual views of the plane. Two tries shown with two different selected liveries ok until "Fly Now". Then in cabin got the loud engine roar followed by engine shut down. A ctrl-e CTOd.

Another attempt crashed the sim with an error message while waiting for the last "Fly Now".

Obviously there are compatibility problems. Do you think Redwing will have a fix, pay or not?

I wonder if the is a difference somehow between the copy over and a straight install. I wasn't having any of those issues. My flight in her was a cold start to a manual shut down after landing.

Straight install of the V1.04 using the Simmarket app.

None of the textures looked very good. The TWA was close but looked like someone went crazy with a year's supply of Never Dull Magic Wads. Super shiny.
